Finally: Diary Of The Dead

Comments

How was the movie? It's playing at the Cerrito out here in the east bay and I'm desperately trying to stop myself from giving into the temptation to see it there. But, if it's good then I just might have to.
[this is good]
Well i have to tell you. If you can dispell any expectations of how characters 'should' act in situations and just watch it for the zombiness... then it's pretty good. Me, being an old film major, I just yelled at the screen most of the time.

The dialogue was embarrassing, and Romero's tendency to beat you over the head with is political statement was his way of dumbing down the movie so everyone would understand him.

With all that said, it still was better than "Land Of The Dead" AND the crappy remake of "Day Of The Dead" (you know, the one with the vegetarians zombies?)

My advice: if you want to see a zombie flick with the camcorder aspect, try to find find the Italian movie [REC] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ib5ZSj6ST0U and it's remake (which will drop in october, Quarrantine (http://www.sonypictures.com/movies/quarantine/index.html)
